On <font color="#FF0000">July 6th, 2008</font></b> over 1200 dancers from
around the world, including Los Angeles <B>Spindulys</b>, performed a
spectacular program, mixing mythology and dance, under the artistic direction
of <B>Danguole Varnas</b>, at the <b>Galen Center</b>, downtown Los Angeles.
This event and other activities has brought <a href="news.html#golden">awards and distinction</a> to <b>Spindulys</b> and its director Danguole R. Varnas.<br>

<p align="left"> <i><b><font
style="COLOR: #888800"; FONT: 12pt verdana">SPINDULYS</font></b></i> is
under the direction of <b>Danguole R. Varnas.</b> It's origins can
be traced to 1949, when <b>Ona Razutiene</b>, a Lithuanian immigrant,
founded the first Lithuanian folk song and dance group in Los Angeles.
This original group continued to thrive and grow, and in 1977 was re-named
<b>'SPINDULYS'</b>, and the complete history is available as a <a href="ona_razu.htm" target="main"><b>Historical
Book</b></a>.</p>
